Detachment members of Area B, I unfortunately must announce that Vice Commander Dave Alfaro has turned in his resignation for personal reasons. Commander Bryant has spoken with Vice Commander Alfaro and respectfully accepted the resignation.
First the Commander and the Detachment staff officers thank the Vice Commander for his exemplary service and performance as Vice Commander. Detachment will miss you Sir.
Now we must announce that a special election will be held to fill the vacancy as per Detachment Constitution. The election will be held at Detachment headquarters on Tuesday December 17th. A 30 day out call letter to Area B Squadrons will be issued (as per the Detachment Constitution 3 Squadrons make a quorum, but remember all Area B Squadrons have voting rights). In the interests and due to room availability at Detachment, Squadrons will send one representative and one alternate Delegate holding that Squadrons votes ( Squadrons will have their full weighted Delegate count. This count is based on membership numbers and Squadron Adjutants will be notified of their count in advance of the election by Detachment).
If you're interested in running for this position send in the appropriate paperwork to the Detachment Adjutant. You may also run from the floor at the meeting with appropriate paperwork. If you are a candidate you may not be your Squadrons voting representative or alternate.
